About Me

My Background

I grew up in the greater Seattle area surrounded by love, laughter, and competitive sports. My passions include travel (by land, air, or sea), languages (French, with Italian and Latin in the works), European history, Family history, and storytelling. I had the great fortune to live in France for several years, and

my connections to her remain strong. I began sailing in the early 90s on San Francisco Bay, and have since had the privilege of sailing in the Caribbean (multiple times) and Greece (soon, again, I hope). I've studied the histories of Medieval and Renaissance England, Ancient Rome, Ancient Greece, and Ancient Egypt most of my life, and have traveled to many of Europe’s historic sites many times.

These days my home port remains in the GNW, and I am a proud former member of the Law Enforcement community.

This logo beautifully captures who I am. Yes, I love red wine, and we already know about sailing. Actually, it is the humor that strikes the strongest cord in depicting who I am.

I have several contemporary stories in the works that I hope to have available over the next year, and I had a great deal of fun writing the "Red Soles" series, a pair of holiday-themed short stories published by Books To Go Now. You will find them listed under Cary Morgan (Frates) on Amazon.
